大一上學期，她在一個陽光燦爛的午后，碰到傑生，馬蒂問他，怎麼辦理補修法文手續。

傑生揚起嘴角，瀟灑地笑了：「你想學法文？Mon enfant, ma soeur, Songe à la douceur. D’aller là -bas vivre ensemble…」

是波特萊爾的詩，馬蒂後來也學會用漂亮的法文唸這首詩了。
